Day 2 - Gordon Falls to Echo Point & Scenic World (~9km, 3-4 hours)
Elevation gain/loss ~380m/375m
With a shorter hike on day two we enjoy a leisurely buffet-style breakfast at the guesthouse including a selection of tea and coffee. Setting off from the guesthouse, we traverse the streets of Katoomba, to resume at Gordon Falls where we ended day one.
Continuing along the cliff-top trail, we meander through dense, fern-filled forests, enveloped by the iconic eucalyptus trees stretching endlessly into the horizon. Keep your senses sharp for the captivating presence of yellow-tailed black cockatoos and their ubiquitous sulphur-crested counterparts. With a keen eye, you may also spot lyrebirds, crimson rosellas, and the occasional wallaby amidst the verdant foliage.
A visit to the Blue Mountains wouldn't be complete without a pause at the legendary Three Sisters rock formation at Echo Point. Here, ample time is allotted to soak in the breathtaking vistas and perhaps indulge in an ice cream or a steaming hot chocolate before the final section of our journey.
Winding our way past the majestic Katoomba Falls, we conclude our hike at Scenic World. From there, our guides will arrange a brief transfer to Katoomba Train Station, where your luggage awaits, marking the end of our adventure and the beginning of your next one.
