Waiver

There are risks involved in participating in Emu Trekkers’ activities. These risks could lead to serious injury, illness or death. These risks include but are not limited to:

• rough terrain and obstacles
• slippery and/or uneven surfaces
• falling at edges of cliffs or elsewhere
• surprise waves on rock shelfs
  
• over-exertion and cardiovascular stress
• heat, cold and adverse weather conditions
• plant and animal life
• swimming in patrolled and un-patrolled areas

There is also the risk that due to the remoteness of some of the locations, medical, evacuation or search services might be slow.

By booking an activity with Emu Trekkers, you agree that:

• any activity in which you participate is within your capabilities
• you are carrying the recommended equipment for the activity
• you will advise the activity leader if you are taking any medication or have any physical or other limitation that might affect your participation in the activity
• you will make every effort to remain with the rest of the group during the activity
• you will refrain from taking any illicit drugs or consuming alcohol
• you will accept the instructions of the leader of the activity
• you have considered the risks before choosing to book and still wish to participate in the activities of Emu Trekkers Ltd. 

By booking an activity with Emu Trekkers, you also agree to release Emu Trekkers Ltd, its members, volunteers, and all other parties associated with organising the event from any responsibility or legal liability for death or personal injury associated with your presence at, and participation in, the activity. This release does not apply to significant personal injury caused by reckless conduct by Emu Trekkers.
