Emu Trekkers is committed to promoting and protecting children's rights in Australia and around the world and is proud to partner with UNICEF Australia, the United Nations Children's Fund, to make this a reality.
UNICEF is the world’s largest children’s charity working to protect vulnerable children, globally and here in Australia.
Since August 2018, Emu Trekkers has donated $50,000 AUD to UNICEF Australia from proceeds raised by our hikes for UNICEF. This has included $10,000 AUD donated specifically to UNICEF Australia's 2020 bushfire response.
How is the money used?
UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. From sending emergency supplies to children during conflict, natural disasters or humanitarian crises, to long-term survival and development programs, UNICEF works to protect children, no matter what.
People often think UNICEF is funded by the United Nations, but it is actually funded by voluntary donations from everyday people. By booking with Emu Trekkers on a UNICEF walk, you are really making an impact to this life-saving work.

"We are delighted to be supported by Emu Trekkers because they share our commitment to helping children in need. This wonderful volunteer-run charity brings people together for exciting adventures while donating the funds
raised from the hikes towards disadvantaged children and youth."
